1986
Thanks to our twenty-year know-how in EPS shell moulding for helmets and to the great influence of the American MTB market, the Limar brand is born.

1988

After an intensive research and development period, Limar starts the realization of specially designed bike helmets.

1993

Limar introduces the first world’s helmet made in the same colors of a team thanks to an innovative material called PETG. Team Gatorade was the first cycling team wearing an helmet with the same shirt colors.

1994

Model F104, the world’s lightest bike helmet, is launched. Its destiny to revolutionize all traditional standards.
1999

Thanks to PC material, Limar creates the first in-mould helmet. This new production process allows a great reduction in weight yet ensuring a great impact resistance to the helmet.

2000

Limar creates the first In- Mould helmet. This new production process allows a great reduction in weight yet ensures a great impact resistance to the helmet.

2002

Limar introduces the first wheel sizing system, light and easy to adjust, for perfect comfort and fit.

2007

PRO 104, the world’s lightest helmet – 180 grams only – is born. This new goal is achieved thanks to our exclusive monocoque in-mould technology.

2009

Limar introduces the brand new Ultralight PRO104. Its 170 grams weight makes it definitely the world’s lightest cycling helmet.

2010

Limar overcomes its own world’s record in lightness by introducing the ULTRALIGHT at only 160 gr.

2011

2011-25th Anniversary

Introduction of the new generation of Ultralight with Ultralight + and the Superlight range.
