SMP are pleased to announce their sponsorship of Michelle Anne Beltran, professional cyclist.
In January 2005,
Michelle signed her first contract with a professional cycling
team, Colavita/Cooking Light. While racing for the team, she
traveled the U.S., Canada and Italy, competing at the national
and international level. In this venture she has set some rather
lofty goals, one of which includes racing with the U.S. National
Team at Worlds in 2006.
Michelle states:
"Professional cycling brings a never-ending
growth process. I understand that there is “always” much to
learn. That is the beauty of all competitive sport and life
in general. So, I have always looked forward to the
challenges I am presented with, and am excited about what is
to come. For me, cycling places a premium on mental
toughness and resolve, and offers a plentitude of
psychologically challenging situations. In the end, we’re
not competing against other cyclists; ultimately, we are
competing against ourselves."
