three time winner of the XTERRA Triathlon World
Championships. Melanie has also been top two overall in XTERRA USA
Championships tour for the last six years. Consistent top
performance and versatility has been Melanie's trademark on the XTERRA
tour as she has climbed the podium for XTERRA events, national mountain
bike events and road events all in the same season over the past
five years. Melanie is an individual who has achieved the highest sporting
success. For the 2005 season Melanie was ranked #3 across all triathlon
disciplines in the World Ranking by Inside Tri magazine and was
Triathlete Magazine and Triathlon Canada's Offroad Triathlete of the
Year. For 2006 Melanie was named Triathlete Magazine's Offroad
Triathlete of the Year, Triathlon Canada's Female Offroad Triathlete of
the Year and won Offroad Triathlete of the Year at the Competitor
Magazine Endurance Sport Awards. As a popular athlete and personal
coach, Melanie has inspired both the present, the future and the past
generation to explore their potential and to finding great success and
meaning in life. Her motto is “Keep It Fun” and she applies that to all
she does.
