team).
For 2011, former members of Team Hotel San Jose - juwi
solar and Groove Subaru Cycling, along with the current
Elite National Champion and former World Champion,
Michael Olheiser, have joined forces to create one super
cycling team,
Team Juwi Solar.
Based in
Boulder, Colorado, Team Juwi Solar is an elite competitive
cycling team that competes on a national and
international level.
The team
objective is to practice the positive qualities of team
sport and – in the Olympic tradition – to personify the
exemplary athlete. From this mindset, Team Juwi Solar
carries the flag of its sponsors and supporters with the
goal of creating a more expansive sense of "team" and
camaraderie. Team Juwi Solar
is not only committed to competitive elite
cycling but is also passionate about sharing this great
sport with youth, newcomers and sponsors.
For 2011 there will be 8 members on the elite and
masters team (see team listing at right). The majority
of these athletes are accomplished professionals outside
of their sport but there also a few athletes that are
full-time cyclists with aspirations for the big time.
